While the original ThinCan prototype was based on a custom x86 core that was partly designed by Artec's VLSI engineers, production models shipped with an NSC Geode SC2200.

Driving the ThinCan Classic

The original ThinCan is covered by the same Linux and X.org drivers as the DBE60.

Booting the ThinCan Classic

The ThinCan Classic is similar to the DBE60 and thus shares the same firmware constraints.
